Merge tag 'drm-next-2024-01-10' of git://anongit.freedesktop.org/drm/drm
Pull drm updates from Dave Airlie: "This contains two major new drivers:
- imagination is a first driver for Imagination Technologies devices, it only covers very specific devices, but there is hope to grow it
- xe is a reboot of the i915 GPU (shares display) side using a more upstream focused development model, and trying to maximise code sharing. It's not enabled for any hw by default, and will hopefully get switched on for Intel's Lunarlake.
This also drops a bunch of the old UMS ioctls. It's been dead long enough.
amdgpu has a bunch of new color management code that is being used in the Steam Deck.
amdgpu also has a new ACPI WBRF interaction to help avoid radio interference.
Otherwise it's the usual lots of changes in lots of places.
Detailed summary:

Introduce a new DRM driver for Intel GPUs
Xe, is a new driver for Intel GPUs that supports both integrated and discrete platforms. The experimental support starts with Tiger Lake. i915 will continue be the main production driver for the platforms up to Meteor Lake and Alchemist. Then the goal is to make this Intel Xe driver the primary driver for Lunar Lake and newer platforms.
It uses most, if not all, of the key drm concepts, in special: TTM, drm-scheduler, drm-exec, drm-gpuvm/gpuva and others.

drm/xe: Add stepping support for GMD_ID platforms
For platforms with GMD_ID registers, the IP stepping should be determined from the 'revid' field of those registers rather than from the PCI revid.
The hardware teams have indicated that they plan to keep the revid => stepping mapping consistent across all GMD_ID platforms, with major steppings (A0, B0, C0, etc.) having revids that are multiples of 4, and minor steppings (A1, A2, A3, etc.) taking the intermediate values. For now we'll trust that hardware follows through on this plan; if they have to change direction in the future (e.g., they wind up needing something like an "A4" that doesn't fit this scheme), we can add a GMD_ID-based lookup table when the time comes.
v2: - Set xe->info.platform before finding stepping; the pre-GMD_ID code relies on this value to pick a lookup table. v3: - Also set xe->info.subplatform before picking the stepping for pre-GMD_ID lookup.

Reduce the use of i915_reg_defs.h so it can be encapsulated in a single place.
1) If it was being included by mistake, remove 2) If it was included for FIELD_GET()/FIELD_PREP()/GENMASK() and the like, just include <linux/bitfield.h> 3) If it was included to be able to define additional registers, move the registers to the relavant headers (regs/xe_regs.h or regs/xe_gt_regs.h)
v2: - Squash commit fixing i915_reg_defs.h include and with the one introducing regs/xe_reg_defs.h - Remove more cases of i915_reg_defs.h being used when all it was needed was linux/bitfield.h (Matt Roper) - Move some registers to the corresponding regs/*.h file (Matt Roper)

drm/xe: Introduce a new DRM driver for Intel GPUs
Xe, is a new driver for Intel GPUs that supports both integrated and discrete platforms starting with Tiger Lake (first Intel Xe Architecture).
The code is at a stage where it is already functional and has experimental support for multiple platforms starting from Tiger Lake, with initial support implemented in Mesa (for Iris and Anv, our OpenGL and Vulkan drivers), as well as in NEO (for OpenCL and Level0).
The new Xe driver leverages a lot from i915.
As for display, the intent is to share the display code with the i915 driver so that there is maximum reuse there. But it is not added in this patch.
This initial work is a collaboration of many people and unfortunately the big squashed patch won't fully honor the proper credits. But let's get some git quick stats so we can at least try to preserve some of the credits:
