crypto: pcbc - Remove support for PCBC mode

The only user of PCBC mode (Propagating Cipher Block Chaining mode) was
net/rxrpc/rxkad.c, which now uses local code instead.

While PCBC was an interesting cryptographic experiment, it has largely
been relegated to the history books and academic exercises. It is
non-parallelizable (i.e., very slow) and doesn't actually achieve the
integrity properties it was apparently intended to achieve.

Remove support for it from the crypto API.

crypto: fcrypt - Remove support for FCrypt block cipher

Remove the insecure FCrypt block cipher from the crypto API. Its only
user was net/rxrpc/, but now net/rxrpc/ implements it locally. The
crypto API implementation is no longer needed.

For some additional context: FCrypt was designed in 1988 and is
essentially a weakened version of DES. It has the same 56-bit key size
as DES, which is easily brute forced. Moreover, it's cryptographically
weak and doesn't even provide the intended 56-bit security level. Its
author considers it to be a mistake, as well
(https://lists.openafs.org/pipermail/openafs-devel/2000-December/005320.html).

But fortunately this 1980s-era homebrew block cipher was never adopted
outside of net/rxrpc/. So its code can just be kept there.

Use CONFIG_EXT4_FS instead of CONFIG_EXT3_FS in all of the defconfigs

Commit d6ace46c82fd ("ext4: remove obsolete EXT3 config options")
removed the obsolete EXT3_CONFIG options, since it had been over a
decade since fs/ext3 had been removed. Unfortunately, there were a
number of defconfigs that still used CONFIG_EXT3_FS which the cleanup
commit didn't fix up. This led to a large number of defconfig test
builds to fail. Oops.

netfilter: conntrack: remove DCCP protocol support

The DCCP socket family has now been removed from this tree, see:

8bb3212be4b4 ("Merge branch 'net-retire-dccp-socket'")

Remove connection tracking and NAT support for this protocol, this
should not pose a problem because no DCCP traffic is expected to be seen
on the wire.

As for the code for matching on dccp header for iptables and nftables,
mark it as deprecated and keep it in place. Ruleset restoration is an
atomic operation. Without dccp matching support, an astray match on dccp
could break this operation leaving your computer with no policy in
place, so let's follow a more conservative approach for matches.

Add CONFIG_NFT_EXTHDR_DCCP which is set to 'n' by default to deprecate
dccp extension support. Similarly, label CONFIG_NETFILTER_XT_MATCH_DCCP
as deprecated too and also set it to 'n' by default.

Code to match on DCCP protocol from ebtables also remains in place, this
is just a few checks on IPPROTO_DCCP from _check() path which is
exercised when ruleset is loaded. There is another use of IPPROTO_DCCP
from the _check() path in the iptables multiport match. Another check
for IPPROTO_DCCP from the packet in the reject target is also removed.

So let's schedule removal of the dccp matching for a second stage, this
should not interfer with the dccp retirement since this is only matching
on the dccp header.

arch/*/configs/*defconfig: Replace AUTOFS4_FS by AUTOFS_FS

Commit a2225d931f75 ("autofs: remove left-over autofs4 stubs")
promised the removal of the fs/autofs/Kconfig fragment for AUTOFS4_FS
within a couple of releases, but five years later this still has not
happened yet, and AUTOFS4_FS is still enabled in 63 defconfigs.

Get rid of it mechanically:

git grep -l CONFIG_AUTOFS4_FS -- '*defconfig' |
xargs sed -i 's/AUTOFS4_FS/AUTOFS_FS/'

Also just remove the AUTOFS4_FS config option stub. Anybody who hasn't
regenerated their config file in the last five years will need to just
get the new name right when they do.

mm/slab: rename CONFIG_SLAB to CONFIG_SLAB_DEPRECATED

As discussed at LSF/MM [1] [2] and with no objections raised there,
deprecate the SLAB allocator. Rename the user-visible option so that
users with CONFIG_SLAB=y get a new prompt with explanation during make

thermal/drivers/core: Remove the module Kconfig's option

The module support for the thermal subsystem makes little sense:
- some subsystems relying on it are not modules, thus forcing the
framework to be compiled in
- it is compiled in for almost every configs, the remaining ones
are a few platforms where I don't see why we can not switch the thermal
to 'y'. The drivers can stay in tristate.
- platforms need the thermal to be ready as soon as possible at boot time
in order to mitigate

Usually the subsystems framework are compiled-in and the plugs are as
module.

Remove the module option. The removal of the module related dead code will
come after this patch gets in or is acked.

The defconfig references were removed with:

perl -p -i -e 's/CONFIG_KEYS_DEBUG_PROC_KEYS=y\n//' \
`git grep -l CONFIG_KEYS_DEBUG_PROC_KEYS=y`

and the integrity Kconfig fixed by hand.

tgt: defconfig cleanup

Because of the removal of the scsi_tgt kernel module, the kbuild variables
CONFIG_SCSI_TGT, CONFIG_SCSI_SRP_TGT_ATTRS and CONFIG_SCSI_FC_TGT_ATTRS
are obsolete. This patch removes these variables. This patch is the result
of the following command:

find -name '*defconfig' | while read f; do grep -vwE 'CONFIG_SCSI_TGT|CONFIG_SCSI_SRP_TGT_ATTRS|CONFIG_SCSI_FC_TGT_ATTRS|CONFIG_SRP' $f >/tmp/t && mv /tmp/t $f; done

kconfig: rename CONFIG_EMBEDDED to CONFIG_EXPERT

The meaning of CONFIG_EMBEDDED has long since been obsoleted; the option
is used to configure any non-standard kernel with a much larger scope than
only small devices.

This patch renames the option to CONFIG_EXPERT in init/Kconfig and fixes
references to the option throughout the kernel. A new CONFIG_EMBEDDED
option is added that automatically selects CONFIG_EXPERT when enabled and
can be used in the future to isolate options that should only be
considered for embedded systems (RISC architectures, SLOB, etc).

Calling the option "EXPERT" more accurately represents its intention: only
expert users who understand the impact of the configuration changes they
are making should enable it.
