*d7f96f97SIvan KhoronzhukDescription:
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk The firmware provides DMI structures as a packed list of
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk data referenced by a SMBIOS table entry point. The SMBIOS
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk entry point contains general information, like SMBIOS
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk version, DMI table size, etc. The structure, content and
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk size of SMBIOS entry point is dependent on SMBIOS version.
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk The format of SMBIOS entry point and DMI structures
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk can be read in SMBIOS specification.
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk The dmi/tables provides raw SMBIOS entry point and DMI tables
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk through sysfs as an alternative to utilities reading them
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk from /dev/mem. The raw SMBIOS entry point and DMI table are
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk presented as binary attributes and are accessible via:
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk /sys/firmware/dmi/tables/smbios_entry_point
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk /sys/firmware/dmi/tables/DMI
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk The complete DMI information can be obtained using these two
*d7f96f97SIvan Khoronzhuk tables.
