"The majority of changes here are about ASoC.

There are two core changes in ASoC (the bump of minimal topology ABI
version and the fix for references of components in DAPM code), and
others are mostly various device-specific fixes for SoundWire, AMD,
Intel, SOF, Qualcomm and FSL, in addition to a few usual HD-audio
quirks and fixes"

Merge tag 'asoc-fix-v6.12-rc4' of https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/sound into for-linus

ASoC: Fixes for v6.12

An uncomfortably large set of fixes due to me not getting round to
sending them for longer than I should due to travel and illness. This
is mostly smaller driver specific changes, but there are a couple of
generic changes:

- Bumping the minimal topology ABI we check for during validation, the
code had support for v4 removed previously but the update of the
define used for initial validation was missed.
- Fix the assumption that DAPM structs will be embedded in a component
which isn't true for card widgets when doing name comparisons, though
fortunately this is rarely triggered.

We've pulled in one Soundwire fix which was part of a larger series
fixing cleanup issues in on Intel Soundwire systems.

ASoC: qcom: sc7280: Fix missing Soundwire runtime stream alloc

Commit 15c7fab0e047 ("ASoC: qcom: Move Soundwire runtime stream alloc to
soundcards") moved the allocation of Soundwire stream runtime from the
Qualcomm Soundwire driver to each individual machine sound card driver,
except that it forgot to update SC7280 card.

Just like for other Qualcomm sound cards using Soundwire, the card
driver should allocate and release the runtime. Otherwise sound
playback will result in a NULL pointer dereference or other effect of
uninitialized memory accesses (which was confirmed on SDM845 having
similar issue).

Pull sound updates from Takashi Iwai:
"It was a calm development cycle. There were an ALSA core extension for
subformat PCM bits and a few ASoC core changes to support N:M

Core:
- API extensions for properly limiting PCM format bits via subformat
- Enhanced support for N:M CPU:CODEC mappings in the core and in
audio-graph-card2

ASoC:
- Lots of SOF updates: fallback support to older IPC versions,
notification on control changes with IPC4. Also supports for ACPI
parse for the ES83xx driver that reduces quirks.
- Device tree support for describing parts of the card which can be
active over suspend (for very low power playback or wake word use
cases)
- Support for more AMD and Intel systems, NXP i.MX8m MICFIL, Qualcomm
SM8250, SM8550, SM8650 and X1E80100
- Drop of Freescale MPC8610 code that is no longer supported

- More CS35L41 codec extensions for Dell, HP and Lenovo models

ASoC: Updates for v6.8

This is a relatively quiet release, there's a lot of driver specific
changes and the usual high level of activity in the SOF core but the
one big core change was Mormioto-san's work to support more N:M
CPU:CODEC mapping cases. Highlights include:

- Enhanced support for N:M CPU:CODEC mappings in the core and in
audio-graph-card2.
- Support for falling back to older SOF IPC versions where firmware for
new versions is not available.
- Support for notification of control changes generated by SOF firmware
with IPC4.
- Device tree support for describing parts of the card which can be
active over suspend (for very low power playback or wake word use
cases).
- ACPI parsing support for the ES83xx driver, reducing the number of
quirks neede for x86 systems.
- Support for more AMD and Intel systems, NXP i.MX8m MICFIL, Qualcomm
SM8250, SM8550, SM8650 and X1E80100.
- Removal of Freescale MPC8610 support, the SoC is no longer supported
by Linux.
