Merge tag 'soc-drivers-6.8' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/soc/soc
Pull SoC driver updates from Arnd Bergmann: "A new drivers/cache/ subsystem is added to contain drivers for abstracting cache flush methods on riscv and potentially others, as this is needed for handling non-coherent DMA but several SoCs require nonstandard hardware methods for it.
op-tee gains support for asynchronous notification with FF-A, as well as support for a system thread for executing in secure world.
The tee, reset, bus, memory and scmi subsystems have a couple of minor updates.
Platform specific soc driver changes include:
- Samsung Exynos gains driver support for Google GS101 (Tensor G1) across multiple subsystems
- Qualcomm Snapdragon gains support for SM8650 and X1E along with added features for some other SoCs
- Mediatek adds support for "Smart Voltage Scaling" on MT8186 and MT8195, and driver support for MT8188 along with some code refactoring.
- Microchip Polarfire FPGA support for "Auto Update" of the FPGA bitstream
- Apple M1 mailbox driver is rewritten into a SoC driver
- minor updates on amlogic, mvebu, ti, zynq, imx, renesas and hisilicon"

Running sparse (make C=1) on tsa.c raises a lot of warning such as: --- 8< --- warning: incorrect type in assignment (different address spaces) expected void *[noderef] si_regs got void [noderef] __iomem * --- 8< ---
Indeed, some variable were declared 'type *__iomem var' instead of 'type __iomem *var'.

Pull SoC driver updates from Arnd Bergmann: "The highlights for the driver support this time are
- Qualcomm platforms gain support for the Qualcomm Secure Execution Environment firmware interface to access EFI variables on certain devices, and new features for multiple platform and firmware drivers.
- Arm FF-A firmware support gains support for v1.1 specification features, in particular notification and memory transaction descriptor changes.
- SCMI firmware support now support v3.2 features for clock and DVFS configuration and a new transport for Qualcomm platforms.
- Minor cleanups and bugfixes are added to pretty much all the active platforms: qualcomm, broadcom, dove, ti-k3, rockchip, sifive, amlogic, atmel, tegra, aspeed, vexpress, mediatek, samsung and more.
In particular, this contains portions of the treewide conversion to use __counted_by annotations and the device_get_match_data helper"

Convert drivers/soc to struct platform_driver::remove_new()
This PR contains the patches I sent in the series available at https://lore.kernel.org/all/20230925095532.1984344-1-u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de that were not yet picked up in next as of next-20231013.
It converts all drivers below drivers/soc to let their remove callback return void. See commit 5c5a7680e67b ("platform: Provide a remove callback that returns no value") for the rationale.

soc/fsl: cpm: tsa: Convert to platform remove callback returning void
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove().
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant.

Merge tag 'sound-6.4-rc1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound
Pull sound updates from Takashi Iwai: "At this time, it's an interesting mixture of changes for both old and new stuff. Majority of changes are about ASoC (lots of systematic changes for converting remove callbacks to void, and cleanups), while we got the fixes and the enhancements of very old PCI cards, too.
Here are some highlights:
ALSA/ASoC Core: - Continued effort of more ASoC core cleanups - Minor improvements for XRUN handling in indirect PCM helpers - Code refactoring of PCM core code
ASoC: - Continued feature and simplification work on SOF, including addition of a no-DSP mode for bringup, HDA MLink and extensions to the IPC4 protocol - Hibernation support for CS35L45 - More DT binding conversions - Support for Cirrus Logic CS35L56, Freescale QMC, Maxim MAX98363, nVidia systems with MAX9809x and RT5631, Realtek RT712, Renesas R-Car Gen4, Rockchip RK3588 and TI TAS5733
ALSA: - Lots of works for legacy emu10k1 and ymfpci PCI drivers - PCM kselftest fixes and enhancements"
