Merge branch 'bridge-mrp-Extend-br_mrp_switchdev_'

Horatiu Vulturv says:

====================
bridge: mrp: Extend br_mrp_switchdev_*

This patch series extends MRP switchdev to allow the SW to have a better
understanding if the HW can implement the MRP functionality or it needs
to help the HW to run it. There are 3 cases:
- when HW can't implement at all the functionality.
- when HW can implement a part of the functionality but needs the SW
implement the rest. For example if it can't detect when it stops
receiving MRP Test frames but it can copy the MRP frames to CPU to
allow the SW to determine this. Another example is generating the MRP
Test frames. If HW can't do that then the SW is used as backup.
- when HW can implement completely the functionality.

So, initially the SW tries to offload the entire functionality in HW, if
that fails it tries offload parts of the functionality in HW and use the
SW as helper and if also this fails then MRP can't run on this HW.

Based on these new calls, implement the switchdev for Ocelot driver. This
is an example where the HW can't run completely the functionality but it
can help the SW to run it, by trapping all MRP frames to CPU.

Also this patch series adds MRP support to DSA and implements the Felix
driver which just reuse the Ocelot functions. This part was just compiled
tested because I don't have any HW on which to do the actual tests.

v4:
- remove ifdef MRP from include/net/switchdev.h
- move MRP implementation for Ocelot in a different file such that
Felix driver can use it.
- extend DSA with MRP support
- implement MRP support for Felix.
v3:
- implement the switchdev calls needed by Ocelot driver.
v2:
- fix typos in comments and in commit messages
- remove some of the comments
- move repeated code in helper function
- fix issue when deleting a node when sw_backup was true

net: mscc: ocelot: Add support for MRP

Add basic support for MRP. The HW will just trap all MRP frames on the
ring ports to CPU and allow the SW to process them. In this way it is
possible to for this node to behave both as MRM and MRC.

Current limitations are:
- it doesn't support Interconnect roles.
- it supports only a single ring.
- the HW should be able to do forwarding of MRP Test frames so the SW
will not need to do this. So it would be able to have the role MRC
without SW support.

Merge branch 'configuring-congestion-watermarks-on-ocelot-switch-using-devlink-sb'

Vladimir Oltean says:

====================
Configuring congestion watermarks on ocelot switch using devlink-sb

In some applications, it is important to create resource reservations in
the Ethernet switches, to prevent background traffic, or deliberate
attacks, from inducing denial of service into the high-priority traffic.

These patches give the user some knobs to turn. The ocelot switches
support per-port and per-port-tc reservations, on ingress and on egress.
The resources that are monitored are packet buffers (in cells of 60
bytes each) and frame references.

The frames that exceed the reservations can optionally consume from
sharing watermarks which are not per-port but global across the switch.
There are 10 sharing watermarks, 8 of them are per traffic class and 2
are per drop priority.

I am configuring the hardware using the best of my knowledge, and mostly
through trial and error. Same goes for devlink-sb integration. Feedback
is welcome.

net: mscc: ocelot: initialize watermarks to sane defaults

This is meant to be a gentle introduction into the world of watermarks
on ocelot. The code is placed in ocelot_devlink.c because it will be
integrated with devlink, even if it isn't right now.

My first step was intended to be to replicate the default configuration
of the congestion watermarks programatically, since they are now going
to be tuned by the user.

But after studying and understanding through trial and error how they
work, I now believe that the configuration used out of reset does not do
justice to the word "reservation", since the sum of all reservations
exceeds the total amount of resources (otherwise said, all reservations
cannot be fulfilled at the same time, which means that, contrary to the
reference manual, they don't guarantee anything).

As an example, here's a dump of the reservation watermarks for frame
buffers, for port 0 (for brevity, the ports 1-6 were omitted, but they
have the same configuration):

BUF_Q_RSRV_I(port 0, prio 0) = max 3000 bytes
BUF_Q_RSRV_I(port 0, prio 1) = max 3000 bytes
BUF_Q_RSRV_I(port 0, prio 2) = max 3000 bytes
BUF_Q_RSRV_I(port 0, prio 3) = max 3000 bytes
BUF_Q_RSRV_I(port 0, prio 4) = max 3000 bytes
BUF_Q_RSRV_I(port 0, prio 5) = max 3000 bytes
BUF_Q_RSRV_I(port 0, prio 6) = max 3000 bytes
BUF_Q_RSRV_I(port 0, prio 7) = max 3000 bytes

Otherwise said, every port-tc has an ingress reservation of 3000 bytes,
and there are 7 ports in VSC9959 Felix (6 user ports and 1 CPU port).
Concentrating only on the ingress reservations, there are, in total,
8 [traffic classes] x 7 [ports] x 3000 [bytes] = 168,000 bytes of memory
reserved on ingress.
But, surprise, Felix only has 128 KB of packet buffer in total...
A similar thing happens with Seville, which has a larger packet buffer,
but also more ports, and the default configuration is also overcommitted.

This patch disables the (apparently) bogus reservations and moves all
resources to the shared area. This way, real reservations can be set up
by the user, using devlink-sb.

Vladimir Oltean says:

====================
Ocelot/Felix driver cleanup

Some of the code in the mscc felix and ocelot drivers was added while in
a bit of a hurry. Let's take a moment and put things in relative order.

First 3 patches are sparse warning fixes.

Patches 4-9 perform some further splitting between mscc_felix,
mscc_ocelot, and the common hardware library they share. Meaning that
some code is being moved from the library into just the mscc_ocelot
module.

Patches 10-12 refactor the naming conventions in the existing VCAP code
(for tc-flower offload), since we're going to be adding some more code
for VCAP IS1 (previous tentatives already submitted here:
https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/project/netdev/cover/20200602051828.5734-1-xiaoliang.yang_1@nxp.com/),
and that code would be confusing to read and maintain using current
naming conventions.

No functional modification is intended. I checked that the VCAP IS2 code
still works by applying a tc ingress filter with an EtherType key and
'drop' action.

net: mscc: ocelot: move net_device related functions to ocelot_net.c

The ocelot hardware library shouldn't contain too much net_device
specific code, since it is shared with DSA which abstracts that
structure away. So much as much of this code as possible into the
mscc_ocelot driver and outside of the common library.

We're making an exception for MDB and LAG code. That is not yet exported
to DSA, but when it will, most of the code that's already in ocelot.c
will remain there. So, there's no point in moving code to ocelot_net.c
just to move it back later.

We could have moved all net_device code to ocelot_vsc7514.c directly,
but let's operate under the assumption that if a new switchdev ocelot
driver gets added, it'll define its SoC-specific stuff in a new
ocelot_vsc*.c file and it'll reuse the rest of the code.
