Jonathan writes:
First set of new features, drivers and cleanups for IIO in the 3.14 cycle. This mostly consists of patches that didn't quite make the last cycle. Lots of interesting things under review currently.
Core: - Add devm_iio_device_register/unregister. I took some convincing on whether there would be many devices that really were simple enough to need no explicit actions on removal. Turns out there are some. - Move some stray docs to above the relevant implemenation. - Drop a redundant repeated check on the fact the trigger has actually changed when there is a userspace attempt change it.
Drivers: New drivers - Freescale MPL3115A2 Pressure / temperature sensor
New functionality - hid_sensors: add sensitivity support.
DT bindings - tsl2563 - hmc5843
Cleanups - Drop unused scan_type from viperboard adc driver. - devm_iio_device_register used in viperboard, ad5421, ad5755, adis16130, adxrs450, vcnl4000, adis16220, ad7816, lpc32xx, adt7316, adis16060, isl29018 and ad2s1200. Note that this was proposed in a number of other drivers and this revealed a number of missorderings in remove functions. Also for now I have blocked this on any device that any hardware suspend suport on the basis that we probably want to power down devices if they have no driver support loaded.

First round of new IIO drivers, features and cleanups for the 3.12 cycle.
There has been a lot of good work going into IIO recently, some of which missed this pull request purely because I haven't caught up with all my emails.
Core changes
1) Introduction of devm_iio_device_alloc/free and conversions of lots of drivers (37 + patches so far mostly from Sachin) 2) A Kconfig option to enabled some debug logging subsystem wide.
New drivers
1) Nuvoton NAU7802 adc driver 2) Avago APDS9300 ambient light sensor driver.
Staging graduations 1) ADIS16260 gyroscope (after a lot fo cleaning up from Lars-Peter)
New driver features
1) ST-sensors gain control of which pin is used for dataready. 2) mcp4725 gains eeprom saving (a later fix deals with a wrong return type bug in that patch) 3) A number of drivers have gained module alias' to aid autoloading.
Cleanups and minor bug fixes.
1) A number of typos in Kconfig comments 2) Drop remaining mentions of ring buffers (now just buffers) 3) Overrestrictive i2c function checking in the invensense mpu6050 driver 4) Some help text clarifications. 5) store_eeprom is now used in several drivers so move to generic abi docs. 6) Update dac power down options. 7) Add some error handlign to mxs-lradc on stmp_reset_block call. 8) Lars fixed the alphabetical order in various files and added comments to try and prevent them getting messed up again. 9) Dropped some remaining 'reset' attributes for drivers. We have never seen a reason why these should be available. Finally the macro used to define many of these has gone. 10) lps331ap gets an easier to check temperature scale implementation. 11) Various cleanups for the hmc5843 from Peter with a view to getting it ready for a staging graduation.
Quite a few other little typo fixes etc.

iio: Add a comment to about alphabetical order to Kconfigs and Makefiles
Keeping Makefile and Kconfig entries in alphabetical order usually works better than just appending new entries at the end, since it reduces the amount of conflicts. This patch adds a comment to the IIO Kconfig and Makefile files to document that the entries should be kept in alphabetical order.
Also reorder those entries which weren't in alphabetical order yet.

Merge branch 'drm-fixes' of git://people.freedesktop.org/~airlied/linux
We've accrued a few too many conflicts, but the real reason is that I want to merge the 100% solution for Haswell concurrent registers writes into drm-intel-next. But that depends upon the 90% bandaid merged into -fixes:
commit a7cd1b8fea2f341b626b255d9898a5ca5fabbf0a Author: Chris Wilson <chris@chris-wilson.co.uk> Date: Fri Jul 19 20:36:51 2013 +0100
drm/i915: Serialize almost all register access
Also, we can roll up on accrued conflicts.
Usually I'd backmerge a tagged -rc, but I want to get this done before heading off to vacations next week ;-)
Conflicts: drivers/gpu/drm/i915/i915_dma.c drivers/gpu/drm/i915/i915_gem.c
v2: For added hilarity we have a init sequence conflict around the gt_lock, so need to move that one, too. Spotted by Jani Nikula.

Huge thing here is the Lustre client code. Unfortunatly, due to it not building properly on a wide variety of different architectures (this was production code???), it is currently disabled from the build so as to not annoy people.
Other than Lustre, there are loads of comedi patches, working to clean up that subsystem, iio updates and new drivers, and a load of cleanups from the OPW applicants in their quest to get a summer internship.
All of these have been in the linux-next releases for a while (hence the Lustre code being disabled)"
Fixed up trivial conflict in drivers/staging/serqt_usb2/serqt_usb2.c due to independent renamings in the staging driver cleanup and the USB tree..

1) Pressure sensor support in the st sensors driver - LPS331AP currently. 2) Graduation of generic interrupt from staging with some related cleanup. 3) A number of platform_set_drvdata on remove removals. 4) 2 conditional build changes to prevent device tree structures from being built in when device tree isn't enabled. These just save a bit of space rather than being strictly required at the moment. 5) A couple of strict_strtoul -> kstrtoul conversions.
