Merge branch 'core-urgent-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tip/tip

Pull gcc "asm goto" miscompilation workaround from Ingo Molnar:
"This is the fix for the GCC miscompilation discussed in the following
lkml thread:

[x86] BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at 00740060

The bug in GCC has been fixed by Jakub and the fix will be part of the
GCC 4.8.2 release expected to be released next week - so the quirk's
version test checks for <= 4.8.1.

The quirk is only added to compiler-gcc4.h and not to the higher level
compiler.h because all asm goto uses are behind a feature check"

Omapdss driver changes for 3.5 merge window.

Lots of normal development commits, but perhaps most notable changes are:

* HDMI rework to properly decouple the HDMI audio part from the HDMI video part.
* Restructure omapdss core driver so that it's possible to implement device
tree support. This included changing how platform data is passed to the
drivers, changing display device registration and improving the panel driver's
ability to configure the underlying video output interface.
* Basic support for DSI packet interleaving

This is a last minute bug fix that was only just noticed since the code
path that's being exercised here is one that is fairly rarely used. The
changelog for the change itself is extremely clear and the code itself
is obvious to inspection so should be pretty safe.

Merge branch 'spear/dt' into next/dt

This is a rebased version of parts of
git://git.stlinux.com/spear/linux-2.6.git spear-v3.5

which was accidentally based on the linux-next tree and mixed too
many different things. The pinctrl related changes from the same
branch are now in the spear/pinctrl branch of arm-soc.

There are a few non-DT cleanups mixed in here, but fundamentally
it's all related to the DT conversion.

* spear/dt: (9 commits)
ARM: spear: remove most mach/*.h header contents
SPEAr: Update defconfigs
SPEAr: Add PL080 DMA support for 3xx and 6xx
ARM: SPEAr3xx: Add device-tree support to SPEAr3xx architecture
SPEAr3xx: Replace printk() with pr_*()
SPEAr6xx: Add compilation support for dtbs using 'make dtbs'
SPEAr3xx: Add clock instance of usb hosts - ehci and ohci 0 and 1
SPEAr: Use CLKDEV_INIT for defining clk_lookups
ARM: SPEAr600: Change FSMC and SMI clock names

Daniel Vetter writes:

A new drm-intel-next pull. Highlights:
- More gmbus patches from Daniel Kurtz, I think gmbus is now ready, all
known issues fixed.
- Fencing cleanup and pipelined fencing removal from Chris.
- rc6 residency interface from Ben, useful for powertop.
- Cleanups and code reorg around the ringbuffer code (Ben&me).
- Use hw semaphores in the pageflip code from Ben.
- More vlv stuff from Jesse, unfortunately his vlv cpu is doa, so less
merged than I've hoped for - we still have the unused function warning :(
- More hsw patches from Eugeni, again, not yet enabled fully.
- intel_pm.c refactoring from Eugeni.
- Ironlake sprite support from Chris.
- And various smaller improvements/fixes all over the place.

Note that this pull request also contains a backmerge of -rc3 to sort out
a few things in -next. I've also had to frob the shortlog a bit to exclude
anything that -rc3 brings in with this pull.

Regression wise we have a few strange bugs going on, but for all of them
closer inspection revealed that they've been pre-existing, just now
slightly more likely to be hit. And for most of them we have a patch
already. Otherwise QA has not reported any regressions, and I'm also not
aware of anything bad happening in 3.4.
