gss_release_name - discard an internal-form name

DESCRIPTION

The gss_release_name() function frees GSS-API-allocated storage associated with an internal-form name. The name is set to GSS_C_NO_NAME on successful completion of this call.

PARAMETERS

The parameter descriptions for gss_release_name() follow: minor_status

A mechanism-specific status code.

name

The name to be deleted.

ERRORS

The gss_release_name() function may return the following status codes: GSS_S_COMPLETE

Successful completion.

GSS_S_BAD_NAME

The name parameter did not contain a valid name.

GSS_S_FAILURE

The underlying mechanism detected an error for which no specific GSS status code is defined. The mechanism-specific status code reported by means of the minor_status parameter details the error condition.
