a3031715SAlexander LangerThis is a program which I wrote as a clone of the UNIX 'units'
a3031715SAlexander Langercommand. I threw it together in a couple days, but it seems to work,
a3031715SAlexander Langerwith some restrictions. I have tested it under DOS with Borland C and
a3031715SAlexander LangerUltrix 4.2, and SunOS 4.1.

a3031715SAlexander LangerThis program differs from the unix units program in the following
a3031715SAlexander Langerways:
a3031715SAlexander Langer it can gracefully handle exponents larger than 9 in output
a3031715SAlexander Langer it uses 'e' to denote exponentiation in numbers
a3031715SAlexander Langer prefixes are listed in the units file
a3031715SAlexander Langer it tries both -s and -es plurals
a3031715SAlexander Langer it allows use of * for multiply and ^ for exponentiation in the input
a3031715SAlexander Langer the output format is somewhat different
