Escape single quotes in literal strings from groff's Unicode transform.

If the F register is >0, we'll generate index entries on stderr for
titles (.TH), headers (.SH), subsections (.SS), items (.Ip), and index
entries marked with X<> in POD. Of course, you'll have to process the
output yourself in some meaningful fashion.

Avoid warning from groff about undefined register 'F'.

Title "OPENSSL-VERSION 1ossl"
OPENSSL-VERSION 1ossl 2025-07-24 3.5.1 OpenSSL
For nroff, turn off justification. Always turn off hyphenation; it makes
way too many mistakes in technical documents.
NAME
openssl-version - print OpenSSL version information
SYNOPSIS
Header "SYNOPSIS" \fBopenssl version [-help] [-a] [-v] [-b] [-o] [-f] [-p] [-d] [-e] [-m] [-r] [-c] [-w]
DESCRIPTION
Header "DESCRIPTION" This command is used to print out version information about OpenSSL.
OPTIONS
Header "OPTIONS"
-help 4
Item "-help" Print out a usage message.
-a 4
Item "-a" All information, this is the same as setting all the other flags.
-v 4
Item "-v" The current OpenSSL version.
-b 4
Item "-b" The date the current version of OpenSSL was built.
-o 4
Item "-o" Option information: various options set when the library was built.
-f 4
Item "-f" Compilation flags.
-p 4
Item "-p" Platform setting.
-d 4
Item "-d" OPENSSLDIR setting.
-e 4
Item "-e" ENGINESDIR settings.
-m 4
Item "-m" MODULESDIR settings.
-r 4
Item "-r" The random number generator source settings.
-c 4
Item "-c" The OpenSSL CPU settings info.
-w 4
Item "-w" The OpenSSL OSSL_WINCTX build time variable, if set. Used for computing Windows registry key names. This option is unavailable on non-Windows platforms.
HISTORY
Header "HISTORY" In OpenSSL versions prior to 3.4, OpenSSL had a limitation regarding the \fBOPENSSLDIR, MODULESDIR and ENGINESDIR build time macros. These macros were defined at build time, and represented filesystem paths. This is common practice on unix like systems, as there was an expectation that a given build would be installed to a pre-determined location. On Windows however, there is no such expectation, as libraries can be installed to arbitrary locations. \fBOSSL_WINCTX was introduced as a new build time variable to define a set of registry keys identified by the name openssl-<version>-<ctx>, in which the <version> value is derived from the version string in the openssl source, and the <ctx> extension is derived from the OSSL_WINCTX variable. The values of \fBOPENSSLDIR, ENGINESDIR and MODULESDIR can be set to various paths underneath this key to break the requirement to predict the installation path at build time.
NOTES
Header "NOTES" The output of \*(C`openssl version -a\*(C' would typically be used when sending in a bug report.
