The getgen driver provides an ioctl() that can give information
about an inode to userspace that is normally unavailable, such as

The getgen driver provides an ioctl() that can give information
about an inode to userspace that is normally unavailable, such as
the generation number and the crtime.

The inode has to be on a ZFS filesystem, and an open fd to any
file on the same filesystem needs to be provided.
