1 2This is a program which I wrote as a clone of the UNIX 'units' 3command. I threw it together in a couple days, but it seems to work, 4with some restrictions. I have tested it under DOS with Borland C and 5Ultrix 4.2, and SunOS 4.1. 6 7This program differs from the unix units program in the following 8ways: 9 it can gracefully handle exponents larger than 9 in output 10 it uses 'e' to denote exponentiation in numbers 11 prefixes are listed in the units file 12 it tries both -s and -es plurals 13 it allows use of * for multiply and ^ for exponentiation in the input 14 the output format is somewhat different 15 16Adrian Mariano (adrian@cam.cornell.edu or mariano@geom.umn.edu) 17 18
