Yes, it's still the 90s, and several kernel subsystems are still using MD5 for legacy use cases. As long as that remains the case, it's helpful to clean it up in the same way as I've been doing for other algorithms. lib/crypto: mips/md5: Migrate optimized code into libraryInstead of exposing the mips-optimized MD5 code via mips-specificcrypto_shash algorithms, instead just implement the md5_blocks() libraryfunction. This is much simpler, it makes the MD5 library functions bemips-optimized, and it fixes the longstanding issue where themips-optimized MD5 code was disabled by default.
