Basic Solaris User is assigned to every user who logs into the Solaris Management Console. It provides Read permissions to the users of applications and allows users to add cron jobs to their own crontab file. It is defined in the /etc/security/policy.conf file by default.

If Basic Solaris User is grayed, then you are not entitled to Add or Remove this right.
