The \fBDNSServiceCreateConnection()\fR function allows the creation of a
connection to the \fBmDNS\fR daemon in order to register multiple individual
records.

The \fBDNSServiceRegisterRecord()\fR function uses the connection created by
\fBDNSServiceCreateConnection()\fR to register a record. Name conflicts that
occur from this function should be handled by the client in the callback.

The \fBDNSServiceAddRecord()\fR call adds a \fBDNS\fR record to a registered
service. The name of the record is the same as registered service name. The
\fIRecordRef\fR argument to \fBDNSServiceAddRecord()\fR points to an
uninitialized \fBDNSRecordRef\fR. After successful completion of
\fBDNSServiceAddRecord()\fR, the \fBDNS\fR record can be updated or
deregistered by passing the \fBDNSRecordRef\fR initialized by
\fBDNSServiceAddRecord()\fR to \fBDNSServiceUpdateRecord()\fR or to
\fBDNSServiceRemoveRecord()\fR.

The \fBDNSServiceUpdateRecords()\fR call updates the \fBDNS\fR record of the
registered service. The \fBDNS\fR record must be the primary resource record
registered using \fBDNSServiceRegister()\fR or a record added to a registered
service using \fBDNSServiceAddRecord()\fR or an individual record added via
\fBDNSServiceRegisterRecord()\fR.

The \fBDNSServiceRemoveRecord()\fR call removes a record that was added using
\fBDNSServiceAddRecord()\fR or \fBDNSServiceRegisterRecord()\fR.

The \fIsdRef\fR argument points to \fBDNSServiceRef\fR initialized from a call
to \fBDNSServiceRegister()\fR. If the \fIsdRef\fR argument is passed to
\fBDNSServiceRefDeallocate()\fR and the service is deregistered \fBDNS\fR
records added via \fBDNSServiceAddRecord()\fR are invalidated and cannot be
further used. The \fIflags\fR argument is currently ignored and reserved for
future use. The \fIrrtype\fR parameter value indicates the type of the
\fBDNS\fR record. Suitable values for the \fIrrtype\fR parameter are defined in
\fB<dns_sd.h>\fR: \fBkDNSServiceType_TXT\fR, for example. The \fIrdata\fR
argument points to the raw rdata to be contained in the resource record. The
\fIttl\fR value indicates the time to live of the resource record in seconds. A
\fIttl\fR value of \fB0\fR should be passed to use a default value.
