Without arguments, \fBstty\fR reports the settings of certain options. .sp .LP In this report, if a character is preceded by a caret (\fB^\fR), then the value of that option is the corresponding control character (for example, \fB^h\fR is CTRL-h. In this case, recall that CTRL-h is the same as the BACKSPACE key).
